She stands with her back to us, and somehow that refusal is the most honest thing in the room. Her body is not covered in words — it is made of them. Every letter is something she inherited without being asked: her grandmother's prayers, her mother's silences, the poems of a country she carries whether she stays or leaves. The gold falls down her spine like rain, like tears that turned precious on the way down. She cannot take the language off. It is her skin now.

And the letters refuse to be read. You recognize them as Persian, you feel their weight, but they will not surrender their meaning to a stranger's eye. That is the whole truth of her: fully visible, completely unknowable, written in an alphabet of everything she has survived and everything she comes from. She is not hiding from us. She simply belongs to something older than our looking.
